Listening
We start with unstructured conversations: what is on your roadmap, what is late, what has your board asked you that you cannot yet answer. No agenda, no recording, no sales follow-up.
Interviews with practitioners across sectors.
About us
We are a programme organisation. Our job is to find the questions European digital leaders cannot yet answer, and to assemble the room in which they get answered.
Our position
An organiser is only as good as the room it is able to assemble.
UAB operates World Digital Forum as an independent programme of conferences, roundtables, masterclasses and briefings for digital, data and technology leadership across Europe.
Most of the work happens long before anyone walks into a room. Our programme team spends its time interviewing practitioners about what they are actually building, what broke, and what they would do differently. Those conversations become the agenda. When we cannot find someone who has genuinely done the thing, we do not put the session on.
That approach has consequences we accept deliberately. Our agendas are narrower than they could be. We turn down speaking submissions that are really product pitches. And we would rather run a fifteen-person roundtable that changes how someone approaches a migration than a plenary that fills a hall and changes nothing.
Principles
These are not aspirations. They are the rules our programme team works under, and the reason some commercial conversations end early.
Our agendas are built by our own programme team. Speaking places are not sold, and a sponsorship never buys a keynote.
We favour the person who did the work over the person who sells the tool. Sessions are built around evidence and outcomes.
We email people who asked to hear from us, and we make leaving as easy as joining. One click, no questions.
Our programme, our data handling and our contracts are built for European organisations and European law.
How a programme gets built
We start with unstructured conversations: what is on your roadmap, what is late, what has your board asked you that you cannot yet answer. No agenda, no recording, no sales follow-up.
Interviews with practitioners across sectors.
Recurring problems become candidate themes. We test each one against the eight standing programme themes and decide whether it deserves an event of its own or a track within a larger one.
Themes reviewed by the programme team.
We approach the people who did the work. Speaking places are never sold, and a commercial relationship does not create one. If the evidence is not there, the session does not run.
Independent sourcing. No paid slots.
Format, room size and rules are set to match the question — open programme or closed door, plenary or working group — and participants are told exactly what kind of session they are joining.
Format chosen per question, not per venue.
Who we build for
If your role is not on this list but you are working on the same problems, tell us — the list describes our centre of gravity, not a door policy.
On sponsorship. Commercial partners support our events, and we say so openly on the materials for each event. What a partnership never includes is a speaking slot, editorial influence over an agenda, or access to our subscriber list. Our newsletter is sent by us, to people who asked for it, and the list is never sold, rented or shared.
